When I looked up at the sky as a child, the clouds always took the shape of something. Some days they were a great dragon; some days, a child with wings.
I believed a friend the grown-ups didn't know about lived in those clouds — a secret friend of my own, a little scary to look at but warmer at heart than anyone.
