“We long for yesterday so that it may remain where it is — today, and tomorrow.”
To look back on the time that has passed, recording it and stitching it into form, is not simply to linger in regret; it is a way of carrying life’s precious warmth toward the future.
I hope you will pause for a moment in your busy days, and let the slow, gentle warmth of dakjongi hold your yesterdays dearly. May that longing become the strength that carries you through today, and stay right where it is as a warm lamp lighting the way to tomorrow.
With deep respect and gratitude, I dedicate this to my teacher, Park Soon-ae, who longs for yesterday with me and who, today and tomorrow, will keep watching over us, unchanged, from the very same place.
I hope this exhibition becomes a warm time to share the precious yesterdays that still live in your hearts, and I offer my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has taken the time to come.
